No Structural Damage to Famed Luxury Resort
Rose Hall, Jamaica (October 25, 2012) - General Manager of Half Moon, A RockResort, Aram Zerunian, reports that the 400-acre resort experienced only minimal effects following Hurricane Sandy that passed over Jamaica on Wednesday evening.
A survey crew has assessed the property and has reported only some fallen trees branches, limbs and debris. There has been no damage to any physical structure or injury to any person. Already, the resort’s emergency management crew has completed the removal of debris left by the hurricane. In addition, the resort is now fully operational and will receive its first guests today following the hurricane.
The 400-acre resort, located in Montego Bay, Jamaica, was well prepared for the onslaught of Hurricane Sandy. The over 120 guests were kept secured and frequently updated on the hurricane’s passing. Chefs, maintenance, housekeeping, security personnel as well as the management team were on hand to ensure guests felt comfortable and safe as the storm passed.
“While we were all anxious about the effects of Hurricane Sandy, we were well prepared with our emergency management procedures and were in full gear to secure both lives and property.
